UP Haj Committee Chairman to visit Saudi Arabia

Dubai, Sept 21: Uttar Pradesh Minister for Urban Development Mohammad Azam Khan, who is also chairman of the state Haj Committee, is arriving in Saudi Arabia today to oversee arrangements for Indian pilgrims.

The Samajwadi Party leader, who is arriving in Jeddah later today, would also seek funds for the construction of the SR100 million Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur.

He told Arab News that funds crunch would not be allowed to hamper the growth of the university, which would also establish a medical college.
