Four injured in Kashmir blast
Srinagar, Sep 21: Two security personnel were among four people injured in blasts and firing in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said.
They said militants triggered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on Quimoh road in south Kashmir district of Pulwama at 0900 hours, targeting a patrol party.
One constable of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Mahesh Singh was injured in the blast, they said.
Militants hurled a hand grenade towards security forces at Cheni Chowk, Anantnag in south Kashmir last night. However, it missed the intended target and exploded on the roadside causing injuries to a constable of state police Aijaz Ahmad and a civilian. The injured were hospitalised.
The militants shot at and wounded one Ali Mohammad Dar at Bijbehara in Anantnag this morning. He was admitted to hospital.
Militants also hurled a hand grenade towards security forces at old Baramulla town last evening. However, it also missed the target and exploded without causing any damage.
