Trains stopped near Bhopal due to bomb scare

Bhopal, Sep 21(UNI) Train traffic on both Down and Up directions was stopped near Bhopal this morning after a bomb-like object was found on the track near Bhadbhada Station, about 25 km from here, on Bhopal-Bina section of West Central Railway.

Bomb disposal squad had reached the spot after a keyman patrolling the track found a suspicious object akin to a clock and alerted the control room here, railway spokesman Anil Jain told UNI.

Subsequently, trains on both directions had been stopped at Bhopal, Mandideep, Habibganj, Bina, Gulabganj and Mandibamora stations, Mr Jain said.

Delhi-bound Punjab Mail, Jhelum Express and Sampark Kranti Express and south and west bound Tamil Nadu Express, Lucknow-Mumbai Express, Amritsar-Dadar Express and few other trains were among those stopped.
