Three children of a family commit suicide

Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 21 (UNI) Three children, including a boy and two girls, of a family committed suicide after they consumed pesticide due to poverty, following the death of their grandmother at Tarlagadur village here.

According to police, Hemalatha (18), Dhana Lakshmi (12) and Ramesh (10) were found dead in their house late last evening.

The children were grown up and looked after by their grandmother (Lakshmamma) since the death of their parents long time ago.

Lakshmamma died six months ago and since then life became miserable for the children.

Following this, Hemalatha gave the pesticide to her sister and brother and later took it herself.

The incident came to light last evening after the police was informed by their neighbours. They broke the door open and found the children dead.
