Stones pelted at ex-Minister's car

Hubli, Sep 21 (UNI) A miscreant pelted stones at the car of former Minister Jabbar Khan Honnalli, MLA, here today, leading to a road blockade by his supporters demanding the arrest of the culprit.

According to police, the trouble started when Mr Honnalli participated in a funeral. Some people gathered at the graveyard objected to his presence, asking what his Anjuman-E-Islam organisation had done for the people.

When Mr Honnalli was returning from the place, a miscreant pelted stones at his car.

Police, who rushed to the spot, persuaded the MLA's supporters to withdraw the rasta roko and were on the look out for the culprit.
