Jaipur, Sep 21 (UNI) The unusual heat in September here and some other parts of the state has the people perspiring and bewildered at the same time.

The maximum temperatures has been touching almost 40 degrees Celsius over the last seven days. The state capital is experiencing such a heat fury after many years. The temperatures have risen over 40 degrees Celsius in Bikaner and Churu districts.

The sultry weather accompanied with bright sun in September is nothing short of a record this year. It is almost as if summer is back in September.

The maximum temperature is hovering between 37 to 39.7 degrees Celsius. The ACs and coolers are on the whole day and people are refraining from venturing outside in the afternoon.

Weather men say rise in the temperatures is because no system of monsoon pattern is being formed currently. And this period can be termed as 'break monsoon season'.

They say ecological changes coupled with local factors are most probably responsible for the unusual rise in temperature.
