Sensex up 48 pts in the opening move
Mumbai, Sept 21: The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index (Sensex) today opened 48 points in the green at 12,167, on the back of positive buying activity in the bluechip stocks of FMCG, Oil&Gas and PSU sector.
The sensex is currently trading at 12,218.14, which is 109.37 more than the previous close.
The benchmark Asian indices too are trading high, whereas the crude oil price is at US Dollar 60.91 per barrel mark.
Major gainers are BHEL, ONGC, Cipla, HLL, Tata Steel and Hindalco all up between 1.25 to 2.20 per cent.
Besides the losers are L&T, HDFC Bank, Reliance Communications and Hero Honda all down between 0.07 to 0.25 per cent.
