Jaipur, Sep 21 (UNI) The Sangh Parivar appears to be a divided house in Rajasthan with many of its constituents now openly criticising the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government in the state.

The violent protests by Sangh Parivar activists against Vasundhara Raje government's decision to construct a Haj House at Sanganer has brought to the fore palpable differences between the Sangh and the BJP government.

Hundreds of BJP and Sangh activists waged a pitched battle with the police on the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the Haj House at Sanganer yesterday.

Not to be cowed down by the protest spearheaded by the local unit of the BJP and a prominent member of the Raje cabinet, Education Minister Ghanshyam Tiwari, who represents the Sanganer Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister opted for an open confrontation than compromise.

Mr Tiwari said, ''The construction of a Haj House at Sanganer on a pastoral land without taking into confidence the local people was uncalled for.'' He said the Muslims were supposed to construct the Haj House at Karbala (the land allotted by the previous Congress government), then why should the government rake up a controversy by constructing it in a predominantly Hindu-dominated Sangner.

But Mr Tiwari, being a shrewd politician, is not unaware of the fact that if a Haj House is constructed on a plot allotted by the Congress regime, part of the credit would go to the Congress.

Mr Tiwari never misses a chance to embarass the Raje government in which he is also a cabinet minister. Earlier he openly criticised the proposal for the setting up of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) with a corporate group, casting many aspersions on the Chief Minister.

The Parivar is clearly unhappy with the style of functioning of the Chief Minister. On a visit to the city recently, RSS supremo K S Sudarshan gave some lessons to Raje on leadership qualities and the reason for factionalism plaguing the political parties. He said ''A true leader must take all sections of the Parivar along by assigning responsibility to each individual according to merit".

It seems Ms Raje has learned little from the 'class' of Sudharshan.
