Plea against Hawara, others adjourned
Chandigarh, Sep 21 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned to November 20 the hearing on the plea filed by the Chandigarh Administration against Jagtar Singh Hawara, former Burail jail official D S Rana and some others seeking directions to set aside the orders of a lower court in discharging the accused from the charge of waging a war against the state which was a part of the sensational Bural jail break case.
The hearing would come in the court of Justice Rajive Bhalla on November 20.
This was done as service to at some of respondents including the two proclaimed offenders(POs) namely Jagtar Singh Tara and Dev Singh, who had allegedly dug the tunnel in the jail and escaped. The third accused Gurvinder Singh was released on bail.
