Pankaj Advani, Ashok Shandilya in Indian Billiards team for Asiad

Bangalore, Sep 21 (UNI) Khel Ratna awardee Pankaj Advani, former world billiards champion Geet Sethi and Railways star Ashok Shandilya will spearhead the Indian attack in cue sports in the Asian Games, to be held in Doha in Qatar in December.

The Indian Snooker and Billiards Federation today finalised the Indian teams for billiards, snooker, carom and pool games, at the end of the selection camp for 3-cusion carom.

The three-day selection camp for World Snooker Championship, to be held in Jordan, would begin from October 1.

Following are the teams: Men: Billiards: Singles: Ashok Shandilya and Pankaj Advani.

Doubles: Ashok Shandilya and Geet Sethi.

Snooker: Singles and doubles: Yasin Merchant and Manan Chandra.

Team: Yasin Merchant, Aditya Mehta and Roopesh Shah.

8 Ball Pool: Men: Dharmender Lilly and Alok Kumar. 9 ball pool: Men: Sunith Talwar and Md Asim. 3-cusion carom: K Ranjan and B Bhaskar.

Women: 8 ball pool: Anuja Thakur and Chitra M 9 ball Pool: Vidhya Pillai and Minal Thakur.
