NIFT in Rae Bareli soon

Kanpur, Sep 21 (UNI) The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will soon have its branch in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh.

NIFT is a leading fashion institute in India, which has produced eminent fashion designers like Manish Malhotra, Ritu Beri, Reena Dhaka and Rohit Bal, who have been representing the country in international pageants.

Manish Malhotra has played a vital role in making Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and Preity Zinta look stunning on screen.

Following rising popularity of the fashion industry, a union Textiles Ministry team had recently toured Kanpur, Lucknow and Rae Bareli.

However, the balance tilted in Rae Bareli's favour as far as a NIFT unit was concerned, since it is a VVIP constituency represented by Congress President Sonia Gandhi in Parliament.
