More rains in coastal AP
Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Parts of Andhra Pradesh will continue to receive heavy rain in the next 24 hours as a well-marked low pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal intensified into a depression.
Under the influence of the system, isolated heavy to very heavy falls were likely over north Coastal Andhra Pradesh, according to Met office here.
Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers were likely at many places over other parts of the coastal region as also Telangana, according to Hyderabad Meteorological Centre Director M Satya Kumar.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers were likely to occur at a few places over Rayalaseema.
As the Southwest monsoon was active over the coastal and Telangana regions in the last 24 hours, Mahabubabad recorded a high rainfall of nine cm, followed by Kaleswaram eight, Nizamabad, Palakonda , Prakasam Barrage, Sircilla seven each, Narsapur, Koida , Polavaram six each, Tuni, Asifabad and Sirpur Bhimadole, Bhimavaram and Eluru Dummagudem , Kaikalur Navipet , Rajahmundry five each.
