KIIT students adjudge best in Robotic show

Bhubaneswar, Sep 21 (UNI) A micro mouse designed by the students of Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Deemed University has been adjudged as the best in the Robotic show held recently at Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Guwahati.

Stating this to the newsmen here KIIT Deemed University Chancellor Dr Achyut Samanta said the six students of the institute who worked for four months had developed the flawless micro mouse using the censor technology.

He said innovative design was adjudged the best among students of top 20 institutes in the country at the Technical festival scoring a convincing 1349 points to clinch the top slot while the second contending team from Trivandrum scored 92 points.

Dr.Samanta said the micro mouse completed the maze seamlessly without any disturbance. He congratulated the six students who had developed the design in the Institute's Robotic club, set up a year back stating that they have brought the laurels not only for the institute but also for the state.

KIIT Deemed University Registrar Dr R N Ray said the Robotic club of the Institute would concentrate more on designing various models of robot in various field and take part in various national competition to show its excellence.

The six students who participated in the Robotic Show held at Guwahati between September 1 and 3, displayed the model and its working through a video presentation to the newsmen.
