Former Guj CM Keshubhai Patel's wife cremated

Gandhinagar, Sept 21: Mrs Leelaben, wife of former Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel, who died today in a major fire at her residence, was cremated here.

Senior BJP leaders L K Advani, Arun Jaitley and Om Mathur were present at the funeral. Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh too rushed to Gandhinagar to pay his respects.

Her eldest son Jagdish lit the pyre, as her other two sons Mahesh and Bharat stood by his side. Chief Minister Narendra Modi, almost all the members of the state cabinet and MPs Harin Pathak and Surendra Patel were also present on the occasion.
