Kalam arrives on a two-day visit to Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept 21: President A P J Abdul Kalam arrived here today on a two-day visit to Kerala.

He was received at the airport by Governor R L Bhatia and State Ministers.

Mr Kalam would deliver the Sri Chitra Silver Jubilee Lecture at the Sri Chitra Thirunal Institute of Medical Sciences Tehnology and would interact with students and scientists.

Later he would present the first Sri Chitra Tirunal Award to ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair at the University Senate Hall.

He would attend a function at the Santhigiri Ashram at Pothencode on the outskirts of the city and interact with the inmates of the ashram.

After overnight stay at the Raj Bhavan here, he would leave for Kanyamumari tomorrow morning.
