Heavy rains forecast in Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, Kerala, Goa

Pune, Sep 21 (UNI) Heavy to very rains are likely to occur at most places in Jharkhand, Bihar and at many places in Gangetic West Bengal.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Chattisgarh and at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Rayalseema, and Tamil Nadu.

The Southwest Monsoon has withdrawn from extreme western parts of Punjab and most parts of west Rajasthan. The Southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over Gangetic West Bengal and active over west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It has been subdued over Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan, Gujarat Region and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand and many places in Konkan and Goa.

Heavy rain have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, coastal Karnataka, and at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra and at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in east Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka.Mmainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan.
