GRT launches bridal collection in platinum

Chennai, Sep 21 (UNI) GRT, a popular jeweller in the city, today claimed to have become the first retailer in the country to launch a comprehensive bridal collection in platinum.

The GRT Bridal includes engagement and wedding rings for the bride and groom, neckwear and wrist wear for the bride for wedding and other related functions, besides bracelets, chains and rings for the groom.

The pieces are a combination of plain platinum, diamond-studded and diamond with coloured stones.

While the price of bridal collections ranged from Rs 70,000 to Rs nine lakh, for rings it was Rs 8,000 upwards, GRT Managing Director Ananthapadmanabhan told reporters here today.

GRT Bridal was inspired by changing trends in jewellery trousseaux and included designs which were both traditional and contemporary.

The Platinum Guild of India and GRT have jointly launched an advertisment campaign to popularise platinum jewellery.

Stating that as many as 25 Indian festivals fell between September 22 and October 31, he said the campaign was launched to capitalise on the festive season.
