Geometric Software names Ravi Gopinath as MD and CEO

Mumbai, Sep 21 (UNI) The board of Geometric Software Solutions has appointed Dr Ravi Gopinath as the company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.

Announcing this, a Geometric's press release here today said the appointment reflects the company's on-going succession planning process and is effective October 4th, 2006. Dr Ravi Gopinath succeeds Manu Parpia, who will continue serving as Vice Chairman&Executive Director of Geometric.

Prior to accepting the position at Geometric, Dr. Gopinath served as head of the Engineering and Industrial Services (EIS), strategic business unit of Tata Consultancy Services Limited.

Meanwhile, the management of Geometric decided to host a media round table on October 5, 2006 to introduce the new CEO and will hold financial and industry analyst conference call on October 17.
