Jalandhar, Sep 21: Congress General Secretary and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh today ruled out the possibility of change of leadership in the government or party organisation in Punjab.

Talking to reporters here today Mr Singh said that, the next assembly elections in this state are due in the next 4 to 5 months and under such circumstances he did not foresee any logic behind possibility of change of the leadership.

Over consistent efforts by opposition Shiromani Akali Dal(SAD) for building pressure against Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh over Ludhiana's City Center scam, Mr Singh gave a clean chit to Capt Singh and said that if any wrong had been committed the government would take appropriate action against the guilty.

He said that a decision on the demand of CBI inquiry into the alleged scam would obviously be taken by the Chief Minister himself.

Replying to a question over the ruling Congress strategy for the next assembly election in the state, Mr Singh said that Capt Singh, PPCC chief Shamsher Singh Dullo and AICC General Secretary incharge of Punjab, Mr Janardan Dwivedi are chalking out the strategy and programme of the Congress central leaders for campaigning in Punjab.
