CPM-Pasla group demands lifting of recruitment ban in Punjab
Jalandhar, Sep 21 (UNI) Communist Party Marxist, Punjab (Pasla) today urged the state government to lift the existing ban on new recruitments in government services and fill the posts lying vacant in various departments.
Party state secretary Mangat Ram Pasla said the party's state secretariat which met here today, demanded that the process of recruitment should be opened at the earliest so that unemployed youths could get the much needed livelihood.
Condemning recent police lathicharge during a demonstration of unemployed youths at Chandigarh, the party also demanded revival of a large number of posts which had been abolished in different state government departments.
The party criticized Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for making false claims about development in the state and alleged that his government had done no good for the masses in the state.
The state government also failed to take any effective steps to curb rise in prices of essential commodities, is said.
However, the party welcomed ''positive outcome'' of the recent NAM summit which would strengthen the ongoing global campaign against alleged imperialist exploitation and '' hegmonic designs of the US imperialism''.
Meanwhile, the party also reiterated its resolve to step up efforts for forging unity among Leftists groups in the state for jointly fighting the ruling Congress and SAD-BJP combine in the forthcoming assembly elections.
