Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today asked the Roads and Buildings Department to take up repair works of the roads, particularly those damaged in the recent floods.
Chairing a review meeting on the ongoing and future projects of the department with R&B Minister Jakkampudi Ramamohana Rao and officials, Dr Reddy directed the Finance Department to allocate necessary funds.
The Chief Minister was informed that roads in eleven districts were affected in the flood, with surface damages to 4575 km, 117 road breaches, 953 CD works and 701 scours and 506 traffic interruptions.
The officials informed Dr Reddy that ordinary repairs work worth Rs 50.05 crore was under progress.
