CM claims unearthing Rs 800 crore scam during BJP's tenure

Shimla, Sep 21 (UNI) Claiming that the Himachal Pradesh Government had unearthed Rs 800 crore scam during the previous BJP government's tenure, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said his government would soon make the details public.

''The previous BJP government was the most corrupt state government ever and the present scam that my government had come across is the biggest during their tenure,'' he said while talking to reporters here.

Mr Singh, while refusing to identify people involved and the department where it was found, said his government had come across several other scams during the previous government's tenure.

To make every scam public would only malign the state's name across the country, he said.

Claiming that investigations were still on in the Rs 800 crore scam, he said the state government would soon make the details public.

''Once the details are out, Mr Dhumal will have to answer to the questions on the scam,'' he said.
