AP govt dismises former employee

Hyderabad, Sep 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government has dismissed former Prohibition and Excise Sub-Inspector at Manthini in Karimnagar District following his conviction in a trap case.

According to an ACB release here today, Principal Special Judge for ACB convicted and sentenced V Subhash to undergo rigorous imprisonment for one year and imposed a fine of Rs 2,000 or to suffer two months simple imprisonment under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.

In another case, the ACB sleuths unearthed disproportionate assets orth Rs 58 lakh during simultaneous raids from the residences of a grade-one officer at Kuzurabad in Karimnagar Bismillah Khan at Adilabad, Huzurnagar and Karimnagar, the release added.
