Abhishek Industries bags CITI Birla Award

New Delhi, Sep 21: Abhishek Industries has been awarded 'CITI Birla Quality Management Award for 2005-06' by Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI).

The award was presented by Secretary, Ministry of Textile, Government of India, in Mumbai yesterday.

The objective of the CITI Birla Awards is to encourage and finance research affecting the textile industry, allied industries and trades, including spread of education.

The awards are funded by the interest, dividend and other income of the Birla Economic and Textile Research Foundation and normally consist of a citation and a cash award of Rs 2 lakh.
