5 killed, 45 injured in bus accident

Jammu, Sep 21 (UNI) At least five people were killed and 45 others injured in a bus accident at Kandi area of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir today, official sources said.

''A bus en route to Rajouri plunged into a gorge at Rehan Mandir Kalan, about 20 km from Kandi, resulting in the immediate death of five people,'' sources told UNI.

Ten seriously injured have been shifted to government medical college hospital here, while others to district hospital Rajouri, sources added.

Last month, 26 people were reportedly killed in a bus accident in Darhal area of Rajouri.
