19th Science Congress to be held in Kerala

Kannur, Kerala, Sep 21 (UNI) The 19th Science Congress with the theme ''paddy cultivation in Kerala'' will be held here from January 29, 2007.

A release said the three-day science congress would be jointly organised by the Kerala State Council for Science Technology and Environment, Kannur University and the Centre for Water Resources and Management (Kozhikode).

More than 300 scientific papers under different subjects like agriculture, fisheries and veterinary sciences, biotechnology, chemical sciences, earth systems sciences, engineering and technology, forestry, wildlife and environmental sciences, health sciences, life sciences and physical sciences would be presented.

There would also be a poster presentation of about 200 papers, it said and added that the young scientist award would be given to the best paper in each subject.
