120 Indians arrive from Saudi under general amnesty
Kochi, Sep 21 (UNI) Nearly 120 Indians, granted a 'general amnesty' by the Saudi Arabia Government recently for illegal stay in the country, arrived here today.
Besides ten Keralites, they included people from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, immigration officials at the Nedumbassery International Airport near here said.
Some of them had served jail terms in Saudi prisons for overstaying or working without proper work permits.
They were granted a general amnesty recently and allowed to leave. The Indian embassy in Saudi Arabia gave them travel documents to return home.
