10 year RI for opium smuggler

Ratlam, Sep 21(UNI) Special court judge Abhay Kumar Saxena sentenced 10 years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh to Nirbhay Ram(66) under the NDPS Act for smuggling opium.

Prosecution said Nirbhay Ram was caught with 5.5 Kg opium near Jaora railway station on February 25, 2002 by the Narcotics Bureau officials.
