Village near LoC electrified after years
Srinagar, Sep 20 (UNI) A remote village in Kashmir along the Line of Control (LoC) was provided with electricity after several years with the help of the Army, bringing the much-needed relief to people.
An official spokesman said Jaberi, a far-flung village in Karnah tehsil of frontier district of Kupwara, had been electrified at a cost of Rs 34 lakh under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) and the Army's Operation Sadbhavana.
Two transformers of 100 KV and 25 KV capacity were installed in the village for power supply, he added.
