Varanasi blast case hearing on Oct 4
Varanasi, Sep 20: A court today extended by 14 days, the judicial remand of March 7 Varanasi blast mastermind Mohd Waliullah and fixed October 4 as the next date of hearing.
Hearing the three cases pertaining to the twin blasts in the holy city, the Special Judge (Essential Commodities Act) extended the judicial remand of Waliullah, one of the six accused in the case.
The hearing fixed for today could not take place as the judge is on leave.
Waliullah, hailing from Phoolpur (Allahabad), was brought to the court amid tight security.
At least 18 people were killed and more than 100 wounded in the twin blasts, that rocked the Sankatmochan temple and Varanasi Cantonment railway station within a span of 15 minutes on March 7.
