Tight security for'Vindhyachal Navratra Mela'

Mirzapur, Sep 20 (UNI) With terror threat looming large, the famous 'Vindhyachal Navratra Mela' would be celebrated under tight security arrangements here.

The Mela, which is one of the biggest fairs in Uttar Pradesh, is slated to start from September 23.

Thousands of devotees throng the fair and submerge in the worship of Goddess 'Vindhyavasini'.

Meanwhile, tight security arrangements have been made for the Mela with PAC, police and anti-bomb squads pressed into service.

Almost 25 lakh pilgrims are expected to visit the holy place this year.
