Three hardcore NLFT rebels surrenderd

Agartala, Sep 20 (UNI) Three hardcore National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants today laid down their arms and returned to the main stream of life.

Police said the rebels, includinga ''self styled surgent'' surrendered to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Jirania Apan Jamatia at 1400 hours and deposited one 7.62 chinese made semi-rifle.

The militants had deserted their camp in Bangladesh a few days ago before bidding farewell to the jungle life, sources added.

During their surrender, the militants deposited 24 rounds of ammunition and other incriminating documents to the SDPO.
