Thai PM Thaksin to arrive in London today

LONDON, Sep 20 (Reuters) Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, ousted in a bloodless military coup yesterday, will be flying into London from New York today, the British Foreign Office said.

''He will be arriving in London later today,'' a spokeswoman told Reuters. She said it was a private visit and no further details were available.

A Thai reporter talking by phone with colleagues on Thaksin's plane said Thaksin was preparing to leave New York by air imminently.

One of Thaksin's daughters is studying in London.
