Thai King endorses military takeover

Bangkok, Sep 20 (UNI) Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej has endorsed the establishment of an interim regime headed by Army Chief General Sonthi Boonyaratkalin and urged for peace in the country.

The revered king, who is the world's longest ruling monarch, standsabove partisan politics in the country.
