TDP MLA granted bail

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 20 (UNI) Opposition TDP MLA Karanam Balarama Murty was today granted bail by the Third Additional Metropolitan Magistrate court.

He was yesterday remanded to 14 days judicial custody when his Counsel filed an application for grant of bail.

Mr Murty, who went into hiding, following a complaint from the Collector, Udaya Lakshmi that he had spoken to her in an abusive language. The District SP, while registering the case, also withdrew the two gunmen provided to him.

The TDP MLA surrendered before the police, who produced him before the court yesterday.
