Sr Clerk nabbed while accepting bribe in Nanded
Nanded, Maharashtra, Sep 20 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths today caught red handed a senior clerk at the Tehsil office here while accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 for issuance of a certificate.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DYSP-ACB) A K Sawai told UNI here that his team, acting on a complaint filed by one Tejinder Indersingh Madadgar, caught senior clerk Suresh Bagde, working at the Tehsil office while accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 for issuance of a solvancy certificate.
The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs 3,000 for issuance of the certificate. However, Tejinder agreed him to pay Rs 2,500. But, before making payment to the accused, he informed the ACB, who later led a trap for the government employee.
The accused has been arrested and an offence has been registerd against him under various sections of the ACB Act at the Vajirabad police station here, DYSP-ACB Mr Sawai said.
