Sensex opens weak by 24 pts, trades at 11972 pts
Mumbai Sep 20: The Bombay Stock Exchange today opened 24 points down at 11,946 and is subdued on account of Federeral reserves meeting later today.
It is currently trading at 11,972.10, which is marginally up from the previous close of 11,970.47 pts.
The benchmark Asian indices are trading weak today on the same count.
Meanwhile, US crude was hovering at US Dollar 61.74 in Asian trade.
Amongst the sectoral indices on the BSE Auto, Consumer Durables and Metals were trading high whereas Bankex, FMCG, HC, IT an d Oila nd Gas were down between 0.09 to 0.78 per cent.
Major gainers the index are Reliance Communications, Tata Steel, NTPC, L&T, Maruti Udyog, Satyam Computers, Grasim Industries, Hindalco, Hero Honda, and HDFC all up between 0.43 and 2.85 per cent.
Besides the losers are HDFC bank, SBI, BHEL, Cipla, Dr Reddy's Lab, Wipro, Infosys, Guajarat Ambuja Cement,and Reanbaxy all down between 0.15 ad 0.93 per cent.
