Police appeal devotees to take precaution during Navratri
Mumbai, Sep 20 (UNI) In the backdrop of the 7/11 Mumbai bomb blasts, the city police has appealed devotees not to carry baggages, mobile phones or cameras during their visit to the Mahalaxmi Temple in south Mumbai during this Navratri.
The official release said here today that during the nine-day festival, slated to begin from Saturday, devotees throng the Mahalaxmi temple. For security reasons, citizens should not carry any baggages, mobile phones, camera or any other articles, checking of which comsumes time during security check-ups.
Meanwhile, the Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking will operate 40 additional buses on route number 33, 37, 39, 63, 80 ltd, 84 ltd, 92 ltd, 124, 133, 166, 302, 357 and 385 during the Navratri festival for the convenience of the devotees going to Mahalaxmi temple.
