PLA claims responsibility for ambush on troops

Imphal, Sep 20 (UNI) The People's Liberation Army(PLA) has claimed the responsibility of attacking Assam Rifles (AR) troops on September 18 at Manipur's Churachandpur district.

The AR spokesperson stated in a press release that one of their jawan had died in the encounter while, six others were seriously injured.

He also said PLA's 252 Batallion was involved in the encounter.

The PLA had intensified attacks on the military recently, the officials said.

Earlier four AR jawans were shot dead by PLA cadres, sources said.
