After holding talks with Parliamentarians who were making public statements against each other, Mr Singh, a seasoned politician held talks with top Congress leaders in the extended PCC meeting.
later, talking to newsmen, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nadendla Bhaskara Rao said that the meeting had authorised Sonia Gandhi to take an appropriate decision on Telangana at the appropriate time. He said the remarks of the PCC Chief Dr K Keshava Rao could have precipitated the situation.
When the TRS Chief and former Union Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao challenged the Congress MPs and MLAs from the Telangana region to resign and get re-elected, Mr Keshava Rao challenged him, stating that he would ensure the byelection within a month if Chandrasekhara Rao resigned.
