One dies in stampede at Chiranjeevi film release

Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, Sep 20 (UNI) One person died and another was critically injured in a stampede in Tadipatri town of Anantapur district on the first day of the release of Chiranjeevi-starrer 'Stalin', at a multiplex, today.

According to police, there was heavy crowd for the film which resulted in stampede and the collapse of a wall.

While one Chiranjeevi fan who was critically injured died on the way to hospital, another was admitted to the local hospital in a serious condition.

The multiplex screened 16 shows today.
