Noisy scene disrupts KMC general body meeting

Kolhapur, Sep 20 (UNI) A noisy scene disrupted the Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) general body meeting here today over a communication gap between the Mayor Sai Kharade and Commissioner Kunal Kumar.

Ms Kharade, who presided over the general body meeting, told the house that the Commissioner was not taking her into confidence over policy matter decision. Hence, she was unable to reply on various decisions.

After Mayor's remarks, corporators stood up and registered their protest against Commissioner for his self-style functioning.

After a long debate, the house members warned that such a treatment to the mayor would be not tolerated hencefourth and commissioner should avoid such an incident in the interests of the citizens welfare.

Among the participants were leader Sunil Kadam, opposition leader Uday Salokhe and others.
