No casuality in passenger train derailment in HP

Dharamshala, Sep 20 (UNI) Passengers of the Pathankot-Jogindernagar train had a miraculous escape today after the engine of the train derailed following the sinking of the track between Koparlad and Jawalamukhi railway stations, railway sources said.

The engine of the train derailed minutes after it crossed the Jawalamukhi railway station. According to the sources no loss of life was reported in the incident.

The sources said the accident occurred due to the sinking of a part of the track between Koparlad and Jawalamukhi railway stations following heavy rains in the region during the last three days.

Traffic on the railway track was disrupted after the accident and efforts were on to restore it, the sources added.
