MP govt approves 5 per cent DA hike
Bhopal, Sep 20 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has approved a five per cent DA hike for its employees -- with effect from September 1 -- and the step, at the initiative of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, would place an additional burden of Rs 87 crore on the state exchequer.
The DA now stands at 70 per cent of basic salary and orders to this effect were issued by the Finance Department today. Pensioners were benefited along similar lines which would place an additional burden of Rs 35 crore.
A copy of the order hiking DA for central government employees was received here today.
