Matsya Utsav to be held in Alwar on Sep 30- 1 Oct

Jaipur, Sep 20 (UNI) The annual Matsya Utsav would be held in Alwer on September 30 and October 1 this year.

The Tourism Commissioner Ajit Kumar Singh said, the Matsya Utsav, normally held in February has been postponed to the Dussehra season this year for convenience of the tourists.

Tourists visiting Alwar during the Matsya Utsav would get a special offer of 20 per cent discount on fares of the hotels owned by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC), he added.

Mr Singh said during the festival under 'Alwar EK Khoj' programmme, sight-seeing in Alwar city and neighbourhood would be conducted. An archaeological heritage exhibition 'Dharohar' would be organsied at City Palace Museum. Display and competition of photography 'Jhalak 'would be organised at the Information Centre and various competitions of traditional games are being organised for the visiting tourists.

Other attractions would be a slide show under Apna Alwar and Rajasthani Music and dance evenings under Rangilo Rajasthan.
