Malaysia AirAsia says Thai operations not affected

KUALA LUMPUR, Sep 20 (Reuters) Malaysia's budget carrier AirAsia Bhd said today its operations in Thailand were continuing as usual despite a military coup in the country.

''No flights have been canceled. Flights are very full. It's business as usual,'' AirAsia Chief Executive Tony Fernandes told Reuters.

The Thai armed forces yesterday seized power without firing a shot, dismissed Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's government, revoked the constitution and promised a swift return to democracy after political reforms.
