Legislative Council preparing for Belgaum session
Bangalore, Sept 20: The Karnataka Legislative Council is preparing for the historic five-day special session of the houses of Karantaka legislature beginning in Belgaum September 25.
Council Secretary K Jayashankaramurthy told newsmen here that the Council would start its session at 1230 hrs on that day at a specially arranged hall in the Anatomy Department Quadrangle of the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College.
All the five days would have official business, including passing of some of the bills pending before the house. On the last day on April 29 it would also take up private members business.
The session is being held for the first time outside Bangalore, the State capital.
