Koda places confidence motion in house
Ranchi, Sep 20 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda today placed the confidence motion in the house.
As the extended monsoon session began for the second time during the past week, Mr Koda, a UPA-backed independent MLA, placed the motion to prove majority after his four-member government was sworn-in on September 18.
Governor Syed Sibtey Razi asked the new chief minister to prove his majority by September 25.
On September 14, erstwhile Arjun Munda-led NDA government bowed out out of power without facing the floor test.
Mr Munda government was reduced to a minority after four ministers withdrew support on September 5.
