Israel to offer edu programmes for CU researchers, students

Kolkata, Sep 20 (UNI) Calcutta University students and researchers may soon share their experiences with their counterparts in Israel in specific fields like agriculture and science and technology.

As a part of their academic coordination with India, Israel government has sent a proposal to the university recently. Israel embassy head of scientific and academic affairs section Tammy Ben-Haim has said the details would be worked out in near future. CU sources said that the students might get a chance to spend some time in Israel for their research work.

Ms Tammy said there were various subjects like agriculture, science and technology which could be of interest for the researchers and students.

''We offer training programmes of short duration to Indian professionals. Researchers from the Calcutta University will have a chance to visit Israel,'' she said.

Ms Tammy was in the city to recently to address programme organised by Indo-Israel Friendship Association.
