IMF launches books on India, China
Singapore, Sep 20 (UNI) Based on its two conferences on China and India last year, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has launched two books - 'India Goes Global' and 'China and India: Learning From Each Other'.
''Our attention was to bring the people from India and China together to talk about their experiences in various aspects of reform, because in some aspects, India has been more successful than China, particularly in terms of financial market banking reform,''' said IMF Deputy Director (Asia and Pacific Department) Steve Dunaway.
The book on 'India Going Global' is on India's role in global economy in the last several years. It examines in detail India's emergence as a dynamic economic power, which is becoming increasingly integrated into the world economy, as well as the steps that it needs to take to help move that process along.
